Parry Commits to New England College
The Vernal Oilers are pleased to announce that forward Luke Parry has committed to play NCAA division III hockey for the New England College Pilgrims in the fall of 2022. The 2000 born native of Pittsburgh, PA becomes the third Oiler to earn a NCAA commitment, and the sixth college commitment overall during the team’s inaugural season of junior hockey.
Parry came to Vernal after playing previously in the WSHL with the Utah Outliers and Pueblo Bulls and recorded a whopping 119 points (39 G, 80 A) in just 40 games as an Oiler, finishing 3rd in CAJHL scoring.
"I'm thrilled to be furthering my academic and athletic career at the NCAA level with New England College," Parry said. "I want to thank God, my teammates, billet family, coaching staff, sponsors, fans, and the city of Vernal. Thank you for everything! This wouldn’t be possible without all of you guys!”
The Oilers are thrilled for Luke and the Parry family and look forward to following his progress at the NCAA level. Congrats Luke, make Vernal proud!
